In addition, Samsung Display will provide iPhone12 And iPhone12ProMax provide integrated "Y-OCTA" OLED integrated touch screen.

      It is understood that compared with BOE, LGDisplay will provide a larger number of panels for iPhone12Max. RossYoung expects BOE to provide 5 million to 10 million panels. In addition, if there are no problems, BOE may be selected again as the supplier of 5.4-inch iPhone 12S next year.

       According to reports, BOE has finalized a supply agreement with Apple, which may surprise South Korean panel makers. Because the development cycle of the iPhone is about one year, insiders from South Korean manufacturers have previously revealed that time is pressing, and they do not expect BOE to be selected as a supplier by Apple. In addition, even if BOE is selected as the supplier, the company is expected to provide panels for the refurbished iPhone after the iPhone 12 series.

       In addition, according to industry sources, Samsung Electronics recently issued a formal request for a quote to BOE, which means that BOE's screen will be introduced into the supply chain of the GalaxyA/S series.

       According to the news, Samsung Electronics’ mobile business has sent inquiries for three different models of smartphones. All three products use OLED panels with screen refresh rates of 120Hz, 90Hz and 60Hz. BOE received an inquiry for the 90Hz model, while Samsung Display received an inquiry for 120Hz and 60Hz.

       It is reported that part of the reason BOE received the quotation is that Samsung Electronics forced Samsung Display to lower the panel price. Earlier, Samsung Electronics had asked Samsung Display to lower the price of its foldable OLED panel, but Samsung Display had refused. 

Losing some of Samsung Electronics’ orders may cause a severe blow to Samsung Display. Although Samsung Display also supplies Chinese mobile phone customers, it relies heavily on Samsung Electronics’ orders. Samsung's S series sells about 35 million units per year, and about 10 million units per model.
